SOMALIA CLIMATE CRISIS

From drought to floods: Somalia in trenches of climate crisis

Dollow (Somalia), Feb 9 (EFE) - (Camera: Daniel Irungu) Unai Mohamed had seen Somalia's land cracked by drought and ravaged by floods before, but never before had lack of water and too much of it hit his country, whose territory is one of the main trenches of the world's climate crisis, so hard.

"The weather was much worse than Al Shabab. You had the feeling all the time that anyone could die," the 36-year-old woman told EFE, under the sparse and solitary shade of a thorn acacia tree, in reference to the jihadist group that controls much of southern and central Somalia.
