The drought in the Brazilian Amazon could be historic and extend until January

Rio de Janeiro, Sep 30 (EFE) - The current drought in the Amazon, the world's largest freshwater reserve but where rivers are at minimum levels, huge areas isolated by difficulties in navigability and dozens of municipalities in a state of alert, may be historic and extend until January, Brazilian official sources predict.
