Doctors Without Borders celebrates 50 years of service in Honduras

Tegucigalpa, November 4 (EFE).- The humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders (MSF) celebrated 50 years of service in Honduras this Monday, where it operates with three offices, reported Edgar Boquín, one of its coordinators, in Tegucigalpa.

STATEMENTS BY EDGAR BOQUIN, COORDINATOR OF DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS HONDURAS:

During these 50 years we have provided interventions to benefit the population in situations related to the management of chagas disease, HIV, violence, sexual violence, bringing medical and psychological care to stigmatized populations such as the street population, people engaged in commercial sex work, and currently we are working with the migrant population that crosses the country to the United States. We also prevent some arboviruses such as dengue, Zika, chikungunya and we bring sexual and reproductive health care services to stigmatized populations, as well as care for sexual violence and reducing the gap in access to mental health services.
