Hathras, Jul 3 (EFE/EPA).- A stampede at the end of a religious event in northern India killed at least 116 people on Tuesday, officials said, indicating that the event had exceeded the permitted attendance limit of 80,000 and that they would press charges against the organizers.The stampede, the deadliest in more than a decade, occurred in a village in Hathras district in the north-central state of Uttar Pradesh, India's most populous state, about 200 km southeast of New Delhi.
