CUBA HOLY WEEK

Cuban devotees take part in Good Friday rituals

Old Havana, Apr 7 (EFE).- Cubans took part in the Via Crucis procession through the streets of Old Havana to celebrate Good Friday. This is a traditional Holy Week celebration, in which participants commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ by walking the way he carried the cross.

The procession in Old Havana brought together people from diverse backgrounds to participate in this important religious and cultural event.

As they walked through the historic streets, they reflected on the meaning of Jesus' sacrifice and its impact on their faith. The Stations of the Cross procession shows how important religious traditions are to Cuban culture. (Camera: FELIPE BORREGO).
