CPTPP comes into force for Peru to boost non-traditional exports

Lima, Sep 19 (EFE).- Peru officially has access to a potential market of 500 million consumers as the Comprehensive and Progressive Treaty for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) came into force Sunday to boost the country's exports.

The CPTPP integrates 11 economies that represent 13 percent of world gross domestic product (GDP) and 15 percent of international trade.

The treaty will help boost Peruvian exports, especially non-traditional ones, which have added value, in addition to strategically positioning Peru within the Asia Pacific region, according to the Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister, Roberto Sánchez. (Camera: JUAN PALOMINO).
