Cordillera Festival in Bogotá kicks off amid heavy rainfall | Video

Bogotá, Sep 23 (EFE).- Heavy and persistent rain has been the main feature of the start of the Cordillera Festival, which is being held this Saturday in the Simon Bolivar Metropolitan Park in Bogotá.

However, the inclement weather did not dampen the spirits of those who came to participate in one of the most significant annual events in the Colombian capital.

The multitude of vehicles converging around the park and the long queues of anxious festival-goers waiting for access to the site augured a promising repetition of the success of last year's Festival for the second year running.

In fact, during the first few concerts of the day, festival-goers opted to wander around the park in the company of family and friends.

Many took the opportunity to buy food and souvenirs, all in preparation for a day full of vibrant festivities. (Camera: CARLOS GARCÍA).
