COP28 climate change conference in Dubai | Video

Dubai (UAE), Nov 30 (EFE/EPA) - (Camera: Martin Divisek)The United Nations Climate Change Summit (COP28) officially opened on Thursday in Dubai, and is expected to be the best attended in the history of climate meetings, with some 70,000 people expected to attend.

The president of COP27, held in 2022 in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh, Sameh Shukri, handed over the presidential baton to Emirati Sultan al-Jaber, who was elected by acclamation by the parties to kick off the meeting.

The 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) will be held from 30 November to 12 December.
