Colombian motorcyclists protest alleged insurance price increase

Bogotá, Oct 12 (EFE), (Camera: Juan Diego López) - Motorcyclists paralyzed some highways in Colombia's main cities on Wednesday to protest an alleged increase in the cost of the Compulsory Traffic Accident Insurance (SOAT) policy, something denied by President Gustavo Petro.

In Bogotá, hundreds of people blocked El Dorado Avenue, one of the main avenues in the city, to express their rejection of the increase in the price of SOAT and gasoline, as well as in support of the leaders who met with the Minister of Transportation, Guillermo Reyes, in search of agreements to solve their problems.
