Circumcision ritual in Bulgaria

Ribnovo (Bulgaria), Apr 11 (EFE / EPA), (Camera: Vassil Donev).- Bulgarian Pomaks on Sunday performed a traditional Moslem circumcision ritual for boys. This delicate intervention was done by doctors working for the representation of the chief mufti of the Muslims in Bulgaria.

After the fall of communism, this and many other Muslim rituals have been observed by the ethnic Turkish minority as well as by the Pomaks in the Balkan country.
