Chinese authorities issue warnings against snowfall, cold snap

Beijing, Dec 13 (EFE/EPA).- The Chinese authorities have issued an alert for snowfall and low temperatures, which has led to the suspension of schools, highways, and some rail services in Beijing and parts of the north of the country.

The region is currently experiencing significant snowfall, which has led to disruptions in daily activities and transportation.

According to the China Meteorological Administration, snowfall and cold temperatures are expected to continue until December 15, 2023.

The bad weather has prompted precautionary measures to ensure public safety and minimise the impact on the city's infrastructure. (Camera: MARK R. CRISTINO).
