Ordos City, Apr 26 (EFE/EPA).- Aerial images on Wednesday revealed the impressive scale and green initiatives of the Dalat Photovoltaic Base in the Chinese city of Ordos. The solar power facility, which opened in December 2018, was jointly built by State Power Investment Corporation, China Guangdong Nuclear Group and China Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Group.The electricity generated at the Dalat Photovoltaic Base is cost-effective, averaging 0.35 yuan/kWh (€0.05/kWh). In addition to its power production capacity, the base has also planted 23,000 mu of ecological forest, underlining its commitment to environmental preservation. The facility is also home to a distinctive horse-shaped pattern made up of 196,320 solar panels, which gained Guinness World Records recognition in July 2019. (Camera: WU HAO).
