Beijing, Jul 4 (EFE/EPA).- According to China's Ministry of Commerce press conference on Thursday, China has requested the European Union to remove its provisional tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles. Spokesperson He Yadong said that the two sides had held multiple rounds of talks at a technical level and that China hopes to reach an agreement with the European Union soon. Provisional European Union duties of up to 38.1 percent on imported Chinese-made EVs are set to kick in by 4 July 2024, while the bloc investigates what it says are excessive and unfair subsidies.
