China issues sandstorm alert for several north, west regions

Beijing, Apr 15 (EFE/EPA).- The China Meteorological Administration issued a blue alert Monday for sandstorms expected to affect regions in the north and west of the country, including capital Beijing.

According to the forecast, sandstorms, driven by strong cold winds, will be present from early morning until around 8pm (12:00 GMT) on Monday, mainly affecting areas of Xinjiang, Qinghai, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Jilin, and Liaoning. (Camera: HAO WU).
