China domestic tourism up 7.6% for Worker’s Day holiday

Beijing, May 6 (EFE).- China registered about 295 million domestic trips during the long weekend for International Workers' Day, an increase of 7.6 percent year-on-year and a 28.2 percent compared to the same period in 2019, authorities said Monday.

The figure, released by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, exceeds pre-pandemic levels. (Camera: HANDOUT).
