China chases Philippine ships in disputed waters

South China Sea, Apr 30 (EFE).- The Chinese Coast Guard said Tuesday that it chased away an undetermined number of Philippine vessels from the disputed waters adjacent to Huangyan Island, in the South China Sea, in the Scarborough Atoll.

In a brief statement, the guard said it expelled the vessels "in accordance with the law" for having "invaded" the waters adjacent to the island. (Camera: HANDOUT).
