Chilean government asks to "accelerate" discussion on minimum wage hike

Santiago de Chile, May 1 (EFE).- The Chilean Minister of Labor and Social Welfare, Jeannette Jara, asked the Parliament on Monday to "accelerate" the discussion of a project that seeks to gradually increase the minimum wage to 500,000 pesos (about 620 dollars at today's exchange rate) in July 2024.
