Chile introduces two pioneering decrees to protect pristine Patagonian rivers

Futaleufú (Chile), Dec 7 (EFE).- Chile has introduced two decrees to declare for the first time "reserves for ecosystemic preservation purposes" the iconic and pristine Puelo and Fataleufu rivers, which originate in the Argentine area of the Andes Mountains, in a pioneering initiative applauded by local communities but considered insufficient by environmental organizations.
