Chile commemorates 50 years of Neruda's death

Santiago de Chile, Sep 23 (EFE).- Authorities, colleagues and friends of the Chilean poet and Nobel Prize for Literature Pablo Neruda commemorated Saturday the 50th anniversary of his death, which occurred 12 days after the coup d'état of Augusto Pinochet, who overthrew the government of former Socialist President Salvador Allende (1970-1973).
