Santiago, May 2 (EFE).- United Nations chief António Guterres on Thursday urged Israel and Hamas to reach a ceasefire agreement to prevent the war in the Gaza Strip from getting "exponentially" worse."For the sake of the people of Gaza, for the sake of the hostages and their families in Israel, and for the sake of the region and the wider world, I strongly encourage the government of Israel and the Hamas leadership to reach an agreement," the secretary general said from the La Moneda presidential palace in Santiago, where he met with Chile’s President Gabriel Boric.
