CGPJ meets to defend judges after Sánchez's letter

Madrid, June 10 (EFE).- The permanent commission of the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) meets this Monday to agree on an institutional declaration that defends judicial independence and the decisions of judges, following the letter from the President of the Government regarding the summons to Begoña Gómez as being investigated.

Specifically, the commission meets in an extraordinary manner to respond to "the latest public demonstrations that may affect judicial independence", in relation not only to Sánchez's letter but also to the statements of numerous ministers.
