CELAC faces challenges in reaching consensus on Gaza conflict

Kingstown, Mar 1 (EFE).- The Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) did not reach a unanimous declaration on the conflict in the Gaza Strip on Friday.

Although 24 out of the 33 CELAC member countries subscribed to a statement supporting the UN resolution for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and cases presented to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to determine if Israel's actions violated international law and constituted genocide.
