Candlelight vigil held in Washington to mark Tiananmen Square massacre

Washington DC, Jun 3 (EFE/EPA).- Several dozens of people on Friday held a candlelight vigil inWashington D.C. to mark the 33rd anniversary of Tiananmen Square massacre.

The Tiananmen demonstrations started as a student-led movement demanding democratic reforms following the death of reformist and former General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Hu Yaobang on Apr. 15 in 1989. (Camera: MICHAEL REYNOLDS).
