1. "The most important thing for our city, and this is what I have presented as mayor, is that Cali cannot simply host the COP. I mean, if the COP simply takes place here and leaves, we will not achieve anything. What we are doing is preparing our city to be at the forefront in terms of sustainable cities, but above all, cities that take care of biodiversity.

2. "Cali is one of the most biodiverse cities in the world. It is a city that has 7 rivers. It is a city that has 561 species of birds and we are so biodiverse that 3 months ago we had only 560 species of birds. So at a time when the planet is suffering with the extinction of species, in Cali a new species of birds appeared and we have to take care of that".

3. "So we are preparing to host the COP, but we are also advancing at this time with the WWF Inter-American Development Bank and our Environmental Agency of the city, we are preparing an environmental master plan for the city that will allow us to stabilize it."
