Bulgaria's Parliament approves Nikolay Denkov as new prime minister

Sofia (Bulgaria), Jun 6 (EFE/EPA) - (Camera: Vassil Donev) Reformist politician Nikolay Denkov has been approved by Bulgaria's Parliament as the new prime minister of the poorest country in the European Union (EU), which has held five legislative elections in the last two years of deep political crisis.

The appointment of Denkov, a candidate of the reformist coalition Continuing with Change-Democratic Bulgaria (PP-BD) and the conservative populist GERB party, was adopted in the House with 132 votes in favour and 69 against.
