British railway workers hold strike over working conditions

London, Jul 22 (EFE/EPA).- (Camera: Neil Hall) The various strikes organized by the British railway unions since June 2022 have cost the sector 620 million pounds (more than 715 million euros), the association of train operating companies Rail Delivery Group (RDG) said on Saturday.

Some 20,000 railway employees are called Saturday for a new strike in England and Wales in protest against their wage conditions, contractual changes and the closure of ticket offices, within a campaign initiated more than a year ago by the general transport, maritime and railway union (RMT).
