British artist illuminates New York's Liberty Square with immersive light experience | Video

New York, Dec 13 (EFE).- On Wednesday, New York's Liberty Square was filled with the light of "Field of Light", an electrical installation created by British artist Bruce Munro.

The installation, which occupies more than two hectares of a park located in front of the United Nations headquarters, will open to the public on Friday and will be on display for twelve months.

It consists of more than 18,000 low-luminosity fibre-optic spheres that subtly change colour.

Visitors will be able to walk among the lights in an immersive experience aimed at restoring to New York City the light it lost during the Covid-19 pandemic. (Camera: ÁNGEL COLMENARES).
