A breakdown at Atocha causes long delays on southern section of Madrid Cercanías line

Madrid, Mar 8 (EFE).- (Camera: Ángel Herrera) - The "generalised" incident that occurred in the early hours of Friday morning in the Cercanías train service is causing severe delays or rescheduling on all lines from the south of Madrid - C3, C4a, C4b and C5 - including the stations of Méndez Álvaro and Villaverde.

Hundreds of people are being affected by this incident which occurred at 01:55 hours this Friday at the infrastructure works at the south entrance to Atocha, which has caused trains running from the south to be delayed or rescheduled, Cercanías sources have told EFE.
