São Paulo, March 15 (EFE).- The Brazilian artist Sallisa Rosa inaugurated this Saturday at the Pinacoteca de São Paulo Topography of Memory, an interactive installation made up of 100 pieces of clay with which she reconstructs her family history and invites the viewer to reflect on memory.Camera: Laura Rodriguez.FOOTAGE FROM THE ARTISTIC INSTALLATION BY SALLISA ROSA, BRAZILIAN ARTIST AND STATEMENTS BY JOCHEN VOLZ, GENERAL DIRECTOR OF THE PINACOTECA DE SÃO PAULO.TRANSLATION:We are in the installation 'Topography of memory', by the artist Salisa Rosa, a large installation, which is a single piece that she developed for a year and a half, which is composed of more than one hundred objects made of ceramics. It's a clay that she finds naturally, so it's very natural.I think it is a search for origin. This brings, for many of us, who have either a history of displacement or a history of ignorance, of not knowing one's family or origin, and even of forced displacement, as is the case of a large percentage of the Brazilian population. I think that search for an origin is very present in the work.
