Brandenburg Gate lights up in Ukrainian colors after meeting between Macron and Scholz

Berlin (Germany), May 9 (EFE), (Camera: Clemens Bilan).- The Brandenburg Gate in Berlin was illuminated Monday with the colors of the Ukrainian flag on the occasion of the meeting between French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

Both called on Monday in Berlin for a cease-fire in order to push forward negotiations for a peace which, they agreed, will have to be based on respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
