Birds on Ecuador's "red list" will have a new stronghold on "Mountain of Light"

Imbabura (Ecuador), Aug 29 (EFE)(Camera: Juan Francisco Chávez) - The cachetidorado parakeet (leptosittaca branickii) and the yellow-eared parrot (ognorhynchus icterotis) will have a new stronghold in Ecuador's "Mountain of Light", a space where the community has planted more than 300 wax palms, home to these small birds, which are on the red list as a result - among other reasons - of the felling of these trees in different parts of the country.
