Biden under mounting pressure amid record numbers of migrants at southern border

Washington, Jan 2 (EFE) - (Camera: Octavio Guzman) The record arrival of migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border has put U.S. President Joe Biden on the ropes, facing pressure from both members of his party and the Republican opposition to act as soon as possible.

In the first 28 days of December 2023 alone, the Border Patrol apprehended 235,000 migrants attempting to cross the border with Mexico irregularly, according to Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data accessed by CBS.
