LEBANON QUDS DAY

Beirut's Raouche Rock illuminated for Al Quds Day in solidarity with Palestine

Beirut, Apr 5 (EFE/EPA).- Lebanon's Raouche Rock, a notable landmark, was illuminated on Friday in the colours of the Palestinian national flag in Beirut to mark Al Quds Day (Jerusalem Day).

This act of solidarity with Gaza and the Palestinian people commemorates Al Quds Day, established in 1979 by Ayatollah Khomeini, founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The day is celebrated on the last Friday of Ramadan and encourages Muslims around the world to unite in support of the Palestinian cause.

The lighting of the Raouche Rock is a powerful symbol of Lebanon's participation in this global celebration, highlighting continued support for Palestinian rights and the pursuit of peace. (Camera: WAEL HAMZEH).
