Beijing braces for cold snap as authorities issue alert

Beijing, Nov 6 (EEFE/EPA).- Beijing has been bracing for a significant drop in temperatures as the city's weather authorities have issued a blue alert for an impending cold snap and gusty conditions.

Since 4 November, residents have been advised to prepare for a sharp drop in temperatures as forecasters predict the cold snap will hit the region between 5 and 6 November.

The lowest temperature in the plains area will drop to around zero degrees overnight on 06, and the lowest temperature in 48 hours will drop by more than eight degrees.

Authorities are urging the public to take the necessary precautions against the cold, especially at night. (Camera: HAO WU).
