Barcelona's confectioners expect to sell some 800,000 monas, with a greater presence of signature cakes

Barcelona, 28 Mar (EFE) - The Barcelona Confectionery Guild hopes to reach the figure of 800,000 artisan cakes sold throughout Catalonia, with an offer that combines classic creations, such as chocolate eggs or cartoon characters, with signature cakes, such as animal figures made with three-dimensional patterning, without using moulds.

As far as prices are concerned, the Guild does not expect a significant increase in this year's monas, as the rise in the price of cocoa on international markets has not affected the chocolate used to make them too much.
