Barcelona Marathon launches a faster route with 20,000 runners at start

Barcelona, March 10 (EFE).- The Zurich Barcelona Marathon reaches its 45th edition this Sunday with the participation of 20,000 runners, a record for female and international registration, in which participants who started the race at 8:30 a.m. have a new, more central route, flat and fast.

This number of entries is the third best in the history of the race and the best of the decade, close to the record established in 2016 with 20,382 bibs, a figure that makes the Zurich Barcelona Marathon the second largest in Spain and the one with the most has grown in the country compared to the previous year, with 5,000 more runners.
