Bangladeshi Hindu devotees worship goddess of wisdom to mark Spring Festival

Dhaka, Feb 5 (EFE/EPA).- Bangladeshi Hindu students on Saturday visited temples in Dhaka to worship Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and wisdom, as they marked the Shree Panchami.

Shree Panchami, also known as the Spring Festival, is an auspicious date on the Hindu calendar when devotees seek blessings from the goddess in the hope she will help them excel in learning and education.

Students across Bangladesh observe the festival by visiting temples dedicated to the goddess. (Camera: MONIRUL ALAM).
