Translations:

Andogoly Guindo, Minister of Culture of Mali:

1. “I want to pay tribute to all artists, photographers, painters, all those who with their talent show the beauty of African creativity and art. I have been able to appreciate these magnificent works that speak to us, that inspire us. I want to pay homage and salute the multi-secular fraternal relations that have always existed between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Mali. To salute this fraternity that has always characterized the ties between our two peoples, ties that go back several centuries”.

Soufiane Er-Rahoui, director of the National Museum of Photography:

“We present in this exhibition the development of several phenomena. The first of them is the liberation of African visual artists from the vision of the other, from the colonial, Western vision, which tends to reductionism, as well as the development of an aesthetic that reflects the diversity of the African continent”.
