Baerbock to Chile: "We hope you will soon be able to ratify trade agreement"

Berlin (Germany), Apr 11 (EFE) - The German Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock, expressed the hope on Thursday that Chile will soon ratify the framework agreement and the trade agreement with the European Union (EU).

"A few months ago we modernised the agreements between Chile and the EU and we hope that you will soon be able to ratify the framework agreement and the trade agreement," she said, addressing her Chilean counterpart Alberto van Klaveren, with whom she appeared in Berlin after a bilateral meeting.

The German minister stressed that these are agreements that set "high standards of sustainability" and propose "fair ways" to achieve greater creation of added value locally.
