Baena's streets rumble to beat of drum of nearly four thousand Jews from Coliblancos and Colinegros

Baena (Córdoba), 28 Mar (EFE) - (Camera: Rafael Alcaide) Almost four thousand 'Jews', coliblancos and colinegros, according to the colour of the natural horsehair they wear on their hooves, have been drumming the streets of Baena (Córdoba) from the early hours of Holy Wednesday until Easter Sunday.

The people of Baena from the different brotherhoods that reproduce a rite that has evolved from the original 16th century one account for a quarter of the municipality's population, 18,533 inhabitants, and with their drums they go through the town centre and take part in the different scenes and processions of Holy Week.
