Art takes off in post-pandemic Venezuela | Video

Caracas, Apr 15 (EFE) - (Camera: Ivan Cardenas) A large-scale musical, dance shows, concerts, book fairs and a forthcoming international theatre festival are a reflection of the boost given to the arts in Venezuela thanks to economic improvement and a reduction in the number of cases of covid-19, which have allowed the return of large-scale cultural and entertainment events.

Thousands of citizens have witnessed this momentum, attending performances such as the acclaimed musical of "Les Miserables", based on the work of the same name by French novelist Victor Hugo, at the Teatro Teresa Carreño, which in recent weeks has featured prominently in the cultural programming of a country trying to leave behind a long economic crisis and the harshest period of the pandemic.
