'Art in Concrete', the importance of urban art in the city of São Paulo

São Paulo, November 15 (EFE).- The city of São Paulo, with more than 11 million inhabitants, is loathed for its incessant traffic, depicted as a "concrete jungle," and many travel influencers recommend visiting it for a short time, but in its streets wonders hide in broad daylight and is the 'living' proof that art perfectly blends with concrete.

STATEMENTS FROM PRI BARBOSA, VISUAL ARTIST, AND ENIVO, VISUAL ARTIST.

BARBOSA: "URBAN ARTISTS DIALOGUE WITH THE SPACE, DIALOGUE WITH THE 'NOW', DIALOGUE WITH THE PEOPLE PASSING THROUGH THE CITY. IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT WE THINK OF ART SPACES AS SOMETHING MORE THAN PRIVATE SPACES".

ENIVO: "MY FIRST GRAFFITI ON THE STREET WAS AT THE AGE OF 12. FROM A VERY YOUNG AGE, I WAS ALREADY WALKING THE CITY SPREADING MY NAME, AND I NEVER STOPPED AGAIN."
