Art collective in southern Mexico unleashes creativity to combat university bullying

Oaxaca, Jun 11 (EFE).- In southern Mexico, a powerful collective called "Oaxaperras" has emerged, combining rage and art to confront the issue of abusive university teachers.

Through their unique graphic designs and self-designed masks, they courageously expose the individuals responsible for inflicting physical and psychological harm, labelling them as "beasts".

The collective's primary objective is to shed light on the prevalent impunity and institutional tolerance towards teachers who engage in harassment at the Benito Juárez Autonomous University of Oaxaca City (UABJO).

Formed by graduates and students of the UABJO, the group was created a year ago after one of their classmates was bullied at school.

Realising their shared passion for art, they decided to use their creative skills to expose and denounce the violence they and others were enduring at the time. (Camera: EFE).
