Art collection of Argentinian Georges Bemberg is back on display in Toulouse

Toulouse (France), Jan 31 (EFE) - (Camera: Raquel Fernández) The art collection of Argentine patron Georges Bemberg, which includes works by figures such as Monet, Zurbarán and Picasso, will be on display again from 2 February at the Hôtel d'Assezat museum in Toulouse, which reopens its doors after three years of renovations.

"Our ambition is that people enjoy coming back here, that they come again and again," said the director of the Bemberg Foundation, Ana Debenedetti, at a meeting with the press at the museum.

I - "Our ambition is that people enjoy coming back here, that they come again and again".

II - The new presentation of the works in the collection was decided on the basis of 2 important criteria. Firstly, to give a chronothematic sense to the tour, so that visitors could situate themselves in a precise temporal space in which they were, what they saw... And secondly, to highlight the personality of the collector who made the choices he did. His collections are reflected in this museography.

III- The Foundation acquired around fifteen new works.

There is no acquisition strategy, in the sense that there are no gaps in the collection. It is a question of letting one's heart take over, as Mr. Bemberg did with his own collection.
