Argentine Minister of Culture: The former ESMA is "a symbol of that atrocity."-

Buenos Aires, Sep 19 (EFE).- The ESMA Memory Site Museum is "a symbol of that atrocity", in allusion to the last military dictatorship experienced in Argentina between 1976 and 1983, according to the Minister of Culture of the South American country, Tristán Bauer, who celebrated the choice of the place as Unesco World Heritage.

TRANSLATION:

The initial mothers were there: the mothers of Plaza de Mayo, they were kidnapped and taken to the ESMA and from there to the death flights.

So it is a symbol of that atrocity. And in order not to repeat those mistakes, memory is fundamental, the heritage of humanity.

The UNESCO declaration seems to me to be fundamental, fundamental that those horrors should not be repeated.

How many atrocities? and we have to revisit them, precisely to project into the future a more beautiful future of justice, of brotherhood, of solidarity.
