Argentina's art nouveau tearoom regains its shine after years of neglect

Buenos Aires, Jul 13 (EFE) (Camera: Julieta Barrera) - On the centenary of Argentina's independence, July 9, 1916, the "Confitería Del Molino" was inaugurated in Buenos Aires, a reference of "art nouveau" architecture and confectionery, which grew along with the enterprising immigration and the bourgeoisie of the early 20th century. Today, after a long closure of more than 25 years, it has been restored to continue its legend.

It was designed by the Italian architect Francisco Gianotti, who owes his name to the flour mill located at that time in the Plaza del Congreso, a few meters from the pastry shop.
