ARCO Lisbon looks to African diaspora, deconstructs stereotypes

Lisbon (Portugal), May 24 (EFE) - Deconstructing stereotypes about African art and its diaspora by embracing diversity, far from old colonialist visions, is one of the objectives of the ‘As formas do Oceano’ (Shapes of the Ocean) programme at this year's edition of ARCO Lisbon, which runs until Sunday.

Eight galleries from France, Morocco, Portugal, Italy and Brazil make up this section of the show, which explores relations between Africa and its diaspora, curated by Paula Nascimento and Igor Simões.
