UN says arbitrary detentions, torture persist in Mexico

Mexico City, Sep 29 (EFE).- Arbitrary detentions and torture persist in Mexico as "a widespread practice," although there has been significant progress in this fight in recent years, said the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detentions, which presented a preliminary report on the country Friday.
