Anti-agricultural economic sabotage act signed into law in Philippines

Quezon City, Sep 26 (EFE/EPA).- Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday signed into law the Anti-Agricultural Economic Sabotage Act, which intensifies government efforts to combat illegal activities in the supply and demand dynamics of agricultural goods.

The new law aims to protect local agriculture workers and consumers from smuggling, hoarding, profiteering, and other forms of economic sabotage that threaten the country’s food security. (Camera: ROLEX DELA PENA).
