Allegations of air strikes aggravate Pakistan-Afghanistan border tensions

Peshawar, Mar 18 (EFE/EPA).- Security personnel were seen intensifying checks on people and vehicles at a checkpoint in Peshawar, the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) in Pakistan on Monday.

This security measure follows an incident in which Pakistani fighter jets allegedly bombed several Afghan villages, killing at least five women and three children, according to Taliban government statements.

The alleged airstrike has escalated tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, greatly exacerbating the deadly violence plaguing the region. (Camera: BILAWAL ARBAB).
